MyPal A636N
Published September 26th, 2006 in PDA GPSAsusTek is offering its MyPal A636N, a wireless GPS device with PDA functions. It runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 OS and 416MHz Intel XScale processor. It supports IrDA SIR for data processing of up to 115.2Kbps, USB 1.1 client-side interface, Bluetooth 2.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g.
The MyPal A636N has a built-in SiRF StarIII GPS chipset and a 25×25mm GPS patch antenna. The latter is claimed able to enhance digital signal reception and improve sensitivity by 115 percent compared to other available devices in the market. The model’s swivel antennas are designed for easy angle adjustment, and speedy and stable connection. The MyPal A636N has a built-in Windows Media Player 10 that supports full-screen movies, duplex records and music playbacks. The model comes with a 3.5mm earphone jack, MP3 stereo functions, integrated microphone and speakers, 128MB flash ROM, 64MB SDRAM and SD slot for memory expansion.
In addition, the MyPal A636N has a 3.5in 65,000-color TFT LCD with touch screen and 240×320pixel QVGA resolution. The touch screen and keypad have lock design functions that prevent accidental activations, which also save on power consumption
