Navman needs no introduction in the Navigational world and today the company has unleashed two new Portable Navigation Devices which promises cutting edge performance and hassle-free operation. The new N40i and N60i seeks to be the ultimate in-vehicle navigational devices and have the critically acclaimed Navpix technology. The new N40i and N60i also promises ultimate portability thanks to its compact ergonomics and both are outfitted with second-generation SiRFstarIII chipset for rapid satellite acquisition and an anti-glare touch screen.For the uninitiated Navpix is an image-based navigational technology which takes the help of imagery rather than text when it comes to destinations and places of interest. Just select the image of the destination and the navigational devices does the rest making them extremely user-friendly. This is possible by adding images to the N40i and N60i either via the Premium Navix Photos website or any other source . Both devices are also equipped with an 1.3 MP camera, thus empowering the user as he/she can take their own pictures and add them to the portable devices.

The Navman N40i apart from the above mentioned feature set also includes; turn-by-turn voice guidance , detailed street maps , 3.5-inch colour screen , Points Of Interest (POIs) among others. It comes preloaded with Tele Atlas map data for all of North America, and sports dedicated controls when it comes to accessing information about nearest gas stations and parking facilities, and exclusive Back on Track(TM) technology.

The Navman N60i on the other hand is step ahead of the N40i and has all the features found on the N40i in addition of some enhanced features. For starters the N60i includes a 4.3 inch widescreen display and is able to view the photo library in full screen or in thumbnail mode. The onboard software makes the device extremely intuitive and the N60i also comes bundled with an IR Remote.

Both GPS devices comes bundled with vehicle mounting, bracket, vehicle power adapter, AC power adapter, USB cable and deluxe padded carrying case. The N40 will be available by October and the N60 will see a November release.
