Nissan coaches Japanese customers on fuel economy via GPS
Published January 24th, 2007Nissan is to introduce a new in-car GPS service to promote fuel-economical
driving habits amongst Japanese motorists, as part of its efforts to reduce
CO2 emissions under the Nissan Green Program 2010. CARWINGS, carrying the
service, is Nissan’s original GPS & Telematics service currently available
only in Japan.
The new service will provide CARWINGS-equipped Nissan drivers with average
fuel-consumption data according to their day-to-day driving habits, and
allow them driver to track and monitor improvements to their eco-driving
skills over a period of time via a personalized web page available with the
CARWINGS service.
